Ascot Vale, Broadmeadows, Brunswick, Coburg and Roxburgh Park Lions Clubs Visit 13th October 2009

Roxburgh Park and District is an active Club which conducts the Youth of the Year Competition, Amblyopia Eye Tests, Shopping Tours, and BBQs at Bunning.

Each year they donate to the Roxburgh College for both academic and sporting achievements..

PresidentLion President Roberta Channon of Broadmeadows.



Broadmeadows Lions Club have ongoing BBQs and each year are very successful with their Christmas Cakes and Hamper.



They provided much help and assistance to a member from Wandong who lost property in the Black Saturday fires.

Pictured at left is Lion Doreen Elston, President of Ascot Vale.



The Club supports St Brendans School and the Licola Bush Camp.



They have provided 2 Hart walkers for the Australian Children's Mobility Foundation and also support the Australian Lions Drug awareness Foundation.

They helped a disabled resident recently in obtaining a PC.


They sponsor a child through World Vision and playground equipment in Sri Lanka.

PresidentPictured at left is President Len Cassidy, of Brunswick.


Brunswick recently provided prizes for the new Leo Club Trivia Night and assisted them with a BBQ at Dan Murhys.



They attended the Essendon Gala Fund-raising dinner.



They conduct Christmas present wrapping at Barclay Square for Operation Smile and provide aftercare for a mother with an autistic child.



They provide Father Christmas for Stuart Lodge.

The Coburg Club partnered with St Vincent De Paul to aid the Whittlesea Club with the fires.

They have their 50th Anniversary on Nov 14th.

Leah got drunk and fell into the raffle basket.

What a great night it was at the Northern Golf Club with about 50 people in attendance.

Leah and Jill were made very welcome by the City Folk and it was much appreciated
