District Governor Murray Baud visit to Bendigo Lions Club in Dec 2018
The Lions Club of Bendigo was pleased to be visited by V1-4 District Governor Murray Baud at our dinner meeting on 11th October.
Lions believe that service is its own reward, but special accomplishments and milestones should be recognized and celebrated. Tonight we did just this.
District Governor Murray presented Lion Wayne Drummond with a pin acknowledging 30 years of service. Well done Wayne.
Pam Barlow was presented with the Lions 100 years of service pin for sponsoring a new Lion in the centennial year.
A swapping of banners between President David Patterson and DG Murray was another highlight of the evening.
DG Murray Baud spoke of the future of Lions Clubs and some of the challenges facing clubs internationally. He introduced members to the My Lion App and encouraged members to embrace technology as a way of moving forward.
At the December Christmas party, a warm welcome was given to new Lion Member Anne Neuman from District Governor Murray and Lions Club of Bendigo sponsor Colleen Callister.
Membership in a Lions Club provides people with the opportunity to meet and work with other individuals in a spirit of fellowship and strive towards the common goal of helping others in need.
